Mukan Arginbayev is the head of the representative office in Europe for SWF Samruk-Kazyna.

The Fund has an overall mission of enhancing the national welfare of Kazakhstan and providing long-term sustainability for future generations. The assets managed by Samruk-Kazyna presently exceed 67 billion US dollars, covering the main sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan – oil and gas, transport and logistics, communications, energy, and petrochemical sectors

According to Samruk-Kazyna’s Strategy, the Fund aims to become an investment holding company that delivers strong financial performance, investment returns and portfolio development on a par with leading sovereign wealth funds.

Mr. Arginbayev is an investment professional with 10+ years of international management experience in emerging markets. During his experience as a senior executive with HSBC Bank, and leading banks in Kazakhstan. Mr. Arginbayev was involved in many complex and landmark transactions. He holds a Bachelor’s degree at the International Academy of Business and is fluent in English, Russian and Kazakh language.
